Prior to this announcement, there were predictions and rumors regardingCall of Duty: Warzone’snext chapter alongsideCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War.While some fans believe that this upcoming “Classified” experience is a new map, many fans are instead expecting a variant game mode themed aroundCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold War’scampaign.Call of Duty: Warzonehas just gone through a special limited-time event withthe Halloween Haunting of Verdansk. Slipping in an alternate game mode, and labeling it “Classified,” could be an easy start without disrupting standardCall of Duty: Warzoneplay.
Based on the promotional image, some text can be made out giving an idea into the possible classified operation. The words Symptoms, Coughing, Death, and Vomiting can be seen among the blacked-out information. References to sulfur and other chemicals along with an undiscovered island located somewhere in the Aral Sea are barely visible among the blood and grime on the image.
WhileCall of Duty: Warzone’scity of Verdanskis located in Ukraine, the Aral Sea is located in Kazakhstan several countries away. In modern times, the Aral Sea is more of a lake that has slowly been disappearing over the years. What is interesting is during the 1980s, whenCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waris set, the Aral sea was still very full and relatively large.
This would suggest that anewCall of Duty: Warzonemapis possible and could be set on the island that resides in the middle of the 1980s Aral Sea or in the nearby marked city of Aral of Cosmo. Until the content is officially released, fans are just left guessing at anotherCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warpuzzle.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Waris set to release on November 13th for Pc, PS4, Ps5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
