A new map forCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warhas been added, bringing a new location for fans to take down dirty bombs. While the new map is expansive and offers some diverse gameplay opportunities, some players have been experiencing an unusual glitch.Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warseems to almost always have an unintended bug appear right when fans are not expecting it.
While this bug may not be game-breaking, it caneasily be game-ending asCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warfans find themselves in a usual place. Fireteam spawns players using a parachute drop-in system, and it is this exact system that has caused a problem for players spawning into the game.

In a clip posted by X_Pilot97 onto Reddit, players find themselves several miles above their intended landing zone. The clip starts with the player spawning into a match of Fireteam. Below them isthe new map, Sanitorium, but players can clearly see several nameplates high above the intended play zone. As the player lands among the others, they find themselves stuck above the map on a flat plane of some form. While they can still do battle and score points for their team, the players are unable to interact with the ground below, causing them to fight on a rather flat playing field.
Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warhas many bugs, but this one makes the game almost unplayable. Players are unable to meet objectives, participate in the gameplay itself, and instead are left killing each other several hundred miles above the map.
In the comments, some players report that this glitch appears in multiple game modes. While it does seem to becontained in onlyCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold WarFireteam, it is still a major inconvenience considering the game mode’s lengthy queue times.
For the players on the ground below, everyone in the sky is invisible. One player in the comments realized too late that it was not the UAV that was shooting at them, but rather players stuck above the battlefield with rifles. This is a bug that needs a rather immediate fix considering the promotional events associated with the map. Until a patch has been put into place,Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warfans will continueto spawn into unplayable games and be restricted to an aerial view of the new battlefield.
