The anticipatedCall of Duty: Black Ops Cold Warjust released, and brings back the fan-favorite Zombies mode.Black Ops Cold WarZombies features new elements likeField Upgradesand custom loadouts, but also returning features like the Pack-a-Punch machine and the mystery box.
The Pack-a-Punch machine is a useful tool for upgrading weapons and changing ammo modifiers, but requires a few steps to unlock. Here is how to forge the Pack-a-Punch machine inBlack Ops Cold WarZombies on the Die Maschine map.

To unlock the Pack-a-Punch machine, players must:
Turn on the power
The first step to unlocking the Pack-a-Punch machine is turning on the power. To get to the Main Power room, players must unlock each barricade leading to the bunker. Once in the bunker, players must make their way to the Particle Acceleration room and unlock one last door to the Main Power room, where a button in the room will turn on the power.
Activate Terminals
After turning on the power, players must return to the Particle Acceleration room to turn on two terminals, which are located on opposite sides of the room. Players may face a few zombies cutting off the path, however, the ability to usecustom loadoutsshould help early in the process.
Enter the Dark Aether
Once both terminals are activated, the Dark Aether Portal will power up in the middle of the Particle Acceleration room. Walk up to the Dark Aether Portal and interact with it to enter the Dark Aether. Once there, theZombies maplayout will remain the same, but with colorful visuals.
Enter the Aether Tunnel
Once players have entered the Dark Aether, the Aether Tunnel location will show up on the screen. Although the Aether Tunnel spawn changes, the Aether Tunnel should be located near the crash site, which is near the spawn area. Players can recognize the Aether Tunnel by a purple glowing circle radiating light from the ground.
Collect Machine Part
Once players enter the Aether tunnel, they will be transported to the Medical Bay room, where the machine part will be located. The machine part is slightly transparent and glowing blue. Walk up to the machine part to pick it up.
Forge Pack-a-Punch Machine
After obtaining the machine part, players must return to the Particle Acceleration room. In the middle of the room, thePack-a-Punch machinewill look similar to the machine part’s transparent glow. Interact with the Pack-a-Punch machine to forge it. After forging the machine, players will be thrown back into the normal world from the Dark Aether Portal.
After the Pack-a-Punch machine is forged, players can use it to obtain upgrades for weapons. The Pack-a-Punch machine requires 5,000 points to level up a gun, which can be done three times per weapon. The machine also has a new feature that allow players to select ammo mods, but this costs points as well.Black Ops Cold WarZombies is a little differentthan in previousCall of Dutytitles, but unlocking the Pack-a-Punch machine continues to be a series staple.
