The Marvelswon’t be hitting theaters until 2023 and after the film finished filming towards the end of last year, it looks like its star Brie Larson is quite keen on staying in MCU form until then if one is to judge from her latest workout routines.

Initially planned for release in late 2022, theCaptain Marvelsequel was pushed along with most of Disney’s Marvel movies as part of the studio’s fall update. Not much is known aboutThe Marvelsas of now, though that is likely down to the roles that Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) andMonica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris)will be playing in the movie, with the former having a potentially phase-defining lead in her upcoming debut series,Ms. Marvel.

As for Carol Danvers, Larson’s last appearance in the MCU was duringShang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings' mid-credits scene where she showed up sporting longer hair than she had back inAvengers: Endgame. That look resembles the hairstyle Larson has in her latest fitness video, recorded afterThe Marvelspresumably finished its filming stage in late November. The actor has constantly kept fans updated on her strength feats which, despite being humanly attainable, are nonetheless quite impressive.

Larson clearly has no problem crushing 5 straight pull-ups, which is just another exercise milestone for the actor whose Instagram is usually plastered with these, as well as some videos of her playing guitar and singing that will remind many of herScott Pilgrimdays. Of course, among her posts are occasionalteasers forThe Marvels, like the film’s new logo that combines the emblems of its three starring heroes.

The Marvels' direction is the work of Nia DaCosta, who earned tons of praise forCandymanthis year, and one of the film’s villains is likely to be Kree general Ael-Dan, played by Zawe Ashton. Regardless of very few details being surfaced, Ms. Marvel’s costume in the movie was leaked and some fans have even taken to creating their own mockups of what Rambeau could look like as Photon once she’s fully upgraded to superhero status.

Phase Four will take the MCU into a more cosmic stage, with stakes being higher than ever, and Captain Marvel will possibly have to play a bigger role in all of that, rather than just being the almighty but mostly absent figure she’s been up to this point. Toss in Nick Fury’s intriguingSecret Invasionadventure coming out in 2022, and at this point everyone might as well do like Larson and work on their pull-ups instead of speculating about whereThe Marvelswill take the MCU.

The Marvelsis scheduled to be released in theaters on Jul 24, 2025.
