Summary

Persona 3 Reloadis a pretty outlandish game when one thinks about it. From dogs as party members to going on dates in between saving the world, there aren’t many RPGs like thePersonaseries overall. However, as an RPG, it has a pretty standard array of weapons.

For example, the main character, canonically known as Makoto, has a short sword while Yukari has a bow. The party maxes out at four members in battle, but many more will unlock inPersona 3 Reloaddeep into the adventure. So, for thoseearly four members, let’s equip them with some powerful and unique weapons.

Kishido Blade weapon in Persona 3 Reload

8Kishido Blade

54 Attack/92 Accuracy

The Kishido Blade is a good starting weapon for Junpei besides the blade he actually begins with. Junpei uses a great sword in battle, which typically hits the hardest among party members. However, due to the large size of these swords, they also have low accuracy when it comes to hitting enemies. It’s a good balance for an RPG with weapon-heavy combat, but it is unfortunate for Junpei.

The Kishido Blade has the bonus of increasing Endurance for Junpei, which helps with defenses in a few ways.

Gladius weapon in Persona 3 Reload

7Gladius

45 Attack/95 Accuracy

Makoto, the main character of the game, also uses a sword like Junpei, although he prefers short swords. The Gladius is a fine example of a good blade for Makoto toward the start. The attack power is less than the Kishido Blade, but the bonus and accuracy are both superior.

Gladius will increase Makoto’s HP by 10, which is a nice benefit for the first few hours of the campaign. In the early hours, thebestPersona 3 Reloadweaponsare generally ones that ease some of the characters' vulnerabilities.

Poison Arrow Bow weapon in Persona 3 Reload

6Poison Arrow Bow

59 Attack/92 Accuracy

The Poison Arrow Bow is the first cited weapon that cannot be bought at the local police station. It has a good balance between attack power and accuracy, plus it has the chance to poison enemies. Poisoned enemies will take damage over time on their turn, which is how most RPGs operate.

Players can get this bow for Yukari on the eleventh floor of Tartarus, which is the game’s dungeon. Be sure to haveTwilight Fragments to open the chest, which is a new currency inPersona 3 Reload.

Sonic Fist weapon in Persona 3 Reload

5Sonic Fist

67 Attack/97 Accuracy

Akihiko is a latecomer to the party who joins almost two months in, but he does fill out the four-person team well. There are only two beginning fist-based weapons worth talking about for him, both of which can be bought at the police station.

The Sonic Fist is the first one, and they look like cartoonish boxing gloves, almost as if Akihiko had just come back from auditioning at Nintendo’s headquarters for thePunch-Outseries. They look goofy, but their power and accuracy are great, plus the fear-based bonus effect can make monsters more vulnerable in battle.

Bladefist weapon in Persona 3 Reload

4Bladefist

83 Attack/97 Accuracy

The other good starter weapon for Akihiko is called the Bladefist, but the design is also questionable. It looks like a pair of brass knuckles with knives attached to the end, true to the name. They look a lot like Voldo’s weapons fromtheSoulCaliburseries.

The Bladefist can be bought at the police station for fairly cheap. While it lacks a bonus effect, the stats are just simply better than the Sonic Fist. Furthermore, Akihiko, thanks to the weapon’s accuracy, has a good chance to hit enemies multiple times with just one attack turn.

Fudo Masamune weapon in Persona 3 Reload

3Fudo Masamune

88 Attack/95 Accuracy

The Fudo Masamune is Makoto’s best sword for the first ten hours. It, surprisingly, can be bought at the police station. Like Akihiko’s Bladefist, it doesn’t have any bonus effects attached to it. However, the stats are high and it looks cool.

A school kid charging into battle with a full-on katana sounds like the premise of amodern-day samurai anime. The anime influences are strong withPersona 3 Reload.

Juzumaru weapon in Persona 3 Reload

107 Attack/95 Accuracy

The Juzumaru is great for Junpei, but players have to work hard to unlock it in Tartarus. It’s locked away in the high thirties of the tower after one ofPersona 3 Reload’sboss fights. This is around the time when Akihiko should be joining the group too.

The attack power is a definite score, but its accuracy might be the best thing about this sword. Also, it has a chance to do critical attacks, which seem to happen more often than not based on extensive playtime.

Toy Bow weapon in Persona 3 Reload

1Toy Bow

100 Attack/88 Accuracy

The Toy Bow has flaws, but it is also incredibly easy to get once Elizabeth opens up shop in the mall. She will ask players to bring her back somePine Resin which is part ofPersona 3 Reload’smany quests. After taking on the mission, players have to go back to the dorm at night and then Yukari will give them leftover Pine Resin from her archery practice.

It’s a literal toy bow too, as it shoots suction cup-based arrows and yet it still packs a punch along with the status ailment of rage.
