Shadow Warrior 3takes place where the last game left off: in utter chaos. Lo Wang failed in defeating an evil dragon whose only purpose is to suck the world dry of its energy. He must now band together with former enemies to try and stop this dragon before it is too late.

He finds himself partnering with wicked spirits, haunted masks, and even raccoons. It’s another zany adventure forthis fast-talking ninjawith an attitude. That’s the basic premise.Shadow Warrior 3operates like many other shooters. However, there are still some tips and strategies that may not immediately come to mind for beginners.
6Perform Executions On Zombies
Players can fill up a meter inShadow Warrior 3that will allow them to perform executions on enemies. When they do, players will be rewarded with a bonus of some sort. For example, the most basic enemy of the game is the zombie ninjas. If players execute them then they will gain an extra 100 points to health.
This can be a huge boost in battle which is why it is recommended to start an arena match bybeheading a zombie. Another example is the icy blue demons. Kill them and players can hurl their eye at others, creating a burst of ice. Once frozen, enemies will be easy to dispatch. Those are two executions to go for the most. Avoid weapon-based bonuses. The big troll-like demons have bone hammers, but they’ll slow down momentum too much.
5Keep Moving In Arenas
Shadow Warrior 3is athrowback to 90s shooters. It is an arcade-like experience wherein enemies will mostly be gathered in locked arenas. Players have to kill everything in these areas to move on. Simple. The basic idea is to keep moving because enemies will attack from all sides.

Shadow Warrior 3is a shooter that rewards players for being fast rather than defensive. Cover-based shooting is the norm for modern shooters. It may be hard to unlearn tactics used in games likeCall of Dutybut players have to try. Take out airborne enemies first along with ranged fighters. Also, be on the lookout for disposable items such as exploding barrels. Gathering enemies toward these traps is a good way to eliminate numbers quickly.
4Healing Versus Ammo Drops
The way players kill enemies will affect what they drop. If they kill them with their sword then enemies will drop ammo. If they are killed with guns then they will drop health. At the start, Lo Wang will have a pistol and a katana. The pistol doesn’t hold much ammo, so it might be tempting to eliminate enemies with the katana more.
Once more guns are unlocked then players may start to gravitate to ranged kills more. This should be a natural gameplay evolution. It’s important to keep a balance even with a full arsenal of guns though. It will be easier to die when more types of enemies are coming for the player. Once health starts to drop to about the halfway point, start using those guns like there is no tomorrow. It might be tricky to go back and forth at first, but players should eventually get the hang of this shooter.
3Getting Upgrade Tokens
Players can upgrade Lo Wang in a few ways. There are two separate tokens; One will be used more for boosting stats while the other will be used for weapons. These purple and silver orbs can be found scattered across levels. Sometimes they are on the main path while other times they are more hidden.Shadow Warrior 3may seem like alinear 90s shooterbut there are secret paths.
Make sure to explore after getting done with all the killings. There is also a challenge system in the game’s menu that some may miss initially. Players can complete these challenges and earn upgrade points. Kill a certain number of enemies with the pistol or heal a certain amount of damage. Those are two examples. Study the chart and get creative in the killing spree. It’s not exactly a robust RPG system like some other shooters, but it is something.

The big question then is what players should upgrade. Across both categories, it is a good idea to focus on health and ammo. The more health players have then the longer they can stay in the battle. It is video games 101,especially in RPGs.

Lo Wang can be a bit of a pill. He talks nonstop and that’s not going to jive with everyone playingShadow Warrior 3. This may seem like a silly tip but take it to heart. Turn off subtitles. The game can get cluttered with the amount of action onscreen at all times.
Do players really need to see text on there as well as a distraction? It might also be a good idea to mute the gameif the jokesget too annoying. However, doing that is dangerous because players can’t hear enemies sneaking up. At the very least, consider turning off subtitles.
