Professional martial artist and stunt performer Jules Wallace revealed what the character Killer Moth would have looked like in Warner Bros.' now axedBatgirlmovie.Wallace showed off the costume and design for the character while sharing his disappointment with the outcome of the movie.
Wallace is a professional stunt performer who has worked on several movies and TV shows, including the historical epicThe Last Dueland the Starz seriesOutlander. While his work as the Batman villain may never be seen now that Warner Bros. has axedBatgirl, his posts on social media offer fans a glimpse at what could have been.

On his personal Instagram, Wallace posted several images of himself dressed as the character Killer Moth, fashioned with a tracksuit and a huge moth tattoo on the back of his head. In the post, Wallace wrote, “Doesn’t seem much point keeping quiet about this now and sucks we won’t get to see it on screen, but here you go. Doubled ‘Killer Moth’ in Batgirl, along with my pal Stevie who doubled forJ.K. Simmons' Commissioner Gordon. Quite a long chaotic shoot but we had a great time and glad to see many of the US and European cast and crew left with a love of Glasgow and Scotland.” In his post, Wallace states that he “doubled” for Killer Moth, meaning he was the stunt double for the character and not the original actor. While Killer Moth’s casting was never confirmed, actor Douglas Russell is rumored to have been playing the role.
In the comics, Killer Moth is a supervillain and frequent adversary of Batman. Like The Dark Knight, Killer Moth does not possess any superpowers and relies on technology to commit crimes. Also, like Batman, many of his gadgets and weapons are Moth-themed, like his cocoon gun. Notably, the character is often portrayed as an ally or protégé of the supervillain Firefly, who was set to appear as the main antagonist in theBatgirlmovie, being portrayed byactor Brendan Fraser. It’s unclear what role Killer Moth would have played in the movie, but based on this costume and overall look, he was likely more a henchman than a full fledge super villain.

Fans were quick to express their disappointment, and industry insiders were left baffled by Warner Bros.' decision to ax a nearly complete 90-million dollar movie.
