Of the many games released within theAssassin’s Creedfranchise,Assassin’s Creed: Revelationstends to get overlooked by many fans of the series. Featuring gameplay mechanics that were only ever seen inAssassin’s Creed: Revelations, such as the hook blade and the various bombs players could craft, and headlined by fan favorite, Ezio Auditore, the gamehas a lot to offer both old and new players. Recently, one fan ofAssassin’s Creed: Revelationsactually redesigned the game’s logo.

Since the advent of the originalAssassin’s Creed, the insignia for the Assassins has gone through numerous design changes. While theAssassin’s Creedlogo changes from game to game, only afterAssassin’s Creed 3did the insignia designs start to take center stage in terms of the marketing of each game. Thus, the insignia seen inAssassin’s Creed: Revelationswas never utilized in any of the game’s promotional material, but thanks to the talented efforts of a fan, players will now have an idea of what that might look like.

Over on Reddit, a user named akaanoner posted an image that serves as a redesign for the Assassin insignia found inAssassin’s Creed: Revelations. The design itself is comparatively more minimal than the one seen inAssassin’s Creed: Revelations, but it also clearly draws inspiration from Constantinople, which is where the majority of the game takes place.

The re-design seems somewhat reminiscent ofAssassin’s Creed Valhalla, especially given the ornate design along the triangular sides of the insignia. Not to mention how the shape of the insignia appears more minimally designed, but upon closer inspection, there is a massive amount of detail, with even red, blue, and green shapes appearing along the insignia, likely meant to symbolize jewels.

Either way, it’s nice to see some older games in theAssassin’s Creedseries continue to get recognized and appreciated by the gaming community. By comparison toAssassin’s Creed 2andAssassin’s Creed: Brotherhood,Assassin’s Creed: Revelationstends to get overshadowed, which is likely due to how divergent it is in terms of both setting and gameplay, but even now, the game has a lot to bring to the table.

In any case, it will be interesting to see what the future holds forAssassin’s Creedgoing forward. Right now, there have been multiple rumors regarding the development of a new title calledAssassin’s Creed Rift. While fans of the series only have rumors and speculation to go on, with any luck, an official update from Ubisoft will likely be revealed in the coming months.

Assassin’s Creed: Revelationsis available now for PC, PS3, PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
