AlthoughAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsincludes plenty of streamlined and improved features from the previous games, most players would agree that there are a few areas where the game could still do better. Specifically, there are features and mechanics in theNintendo Switch exclusivethat feel a little clunky or time-consuming.
It’s likely that Nintendo is well aware of players' criticisms aboutAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsand hopefully working on improvements, but one fan has shared two feature ideas that seem perfect for the game. One makes the crafting process a lot quicker and the other helps with travel on the Dodo Airlines and interacting with friends.

If there is one feature that’s high onAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplayers' wish lists it’s the ability to craft items in bulk. While it may not be much of an issue whencrafting a piece of furnitureor a decoration for their villager’s house, the lack of bulk crafting for consumables is a disappointment. Or maybe players want to stock up on a particular tool, but they have to go through the crafting animation a couple of times just to make 3 shovels.
Twitter user Mehdi has created a bulk crafting concept that seems so perfect forAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsthat it’s surprising the feature isn’t already in the game. Essentially, players would select an item that they want to craft, choose how many of that item to craft, and then start the process. Ideally, the animation for crafting in bulk would be quicker, but even if it isn’t at least players wouldn’t have to continuously jam the Switch buttons in order to keep crafting.
The other idea that Mehdi proposes is a more comprehensive menu for theDodo Airlinesthat allows players to select what they want to do all from one dialogue section. Rather than going through different dialogue trees to choose what they want to do, this menu allows players to select their choice upfront.
Sometimes players make a mistake and decide they don’t want tovisit a friend’s islandand instead want to go on a Mystery Island Tour, but getting to those options requires weeding through a lot of dialogue. This menu makes that process much easier and quicker.
Speed seems to be a common theme when it comes toAnimal Crossing: New Horizonsplayer requests. They want to get the simple/menial tasks done as quickly as possible in order to focus on everything else there is to do each day. Bulk crafting is very likely to be the biggest game-changer if/when it is introduced to the game and we hope that Nintendo’s concept for the feature looks a lot like Mehdi’s.
