Over the yearsPokemonhas introduced unique and interesting creatures. Some pocket monsters stand out from the rest due to their looks, abilities, or natures.Pokemon such as Mimikyu, Mr. Mime, and Unown don’t stick in the minds of most gamers because they look good, but because of how unusual they are.
OnePokemon that has always stood out is Ditto. The pocket monster stands out for its ability to morph into other Pokemon and is one of the few that can learn the move Transform. Ditto is one of the more memorable creatures due to this and has always been one that many players recognize immediately.

An animator going by the name CatGutzArt on Reddit shared a short animation that they made showing Ditto transform. The video begins with the pocket monster in its natural state, which then goes through the process of transformation. ThePokemon becomes a Bulbasaur, though it retains the signature Ditto eyes and smile that it is known to have when it transforms. It is a cute clip that demonstrates one of the weirdest creatures in the RPG series at work as it tries to disguise itself.
A number of Redditors have shown their appreciation for CatGutzArt’s piece with the post sitting at over 500 upvotes. One user stated that they loved it, while another called it very smooth. One commenter mentioned that they would enjoy seeing Ditto transform into thePokemonHydreigon, as they would like to know if just the main head ended up with the goofy smile or all three.
CatGutzArt is not the only one showing Ditto a bit of love. A Reddit user known as bbobblob shared a clip featuring aDitto they knitted that can transform into an Electrode. Bbobblob’s piece started as the Electric-type Pokemon, though it had the Ditto face instead of the giant eyes and smile that it usually sports. The video shows the creator fold the knitted piece inside out, which turned it into the pink pocket monster.
The work is interesting as it is two very different pocket monsters stitched into one. The user was even able to keep many aspects of both creatures in the one doll, such as the Ditto face and Electrode’s two-toned body. The piece is very popular and currently stands at over 10,000 upvotes on Reddit, and a number of fans expressing how much they enjoy the work. Along with CatGutzArt’s animation, it is a great way of showing off the Pokemon’s transformation process.
